Tenerife Whale Watching Tour Guide

Whale Watch Tenerife is now accepting CV’s for the position of Naturalist Guide to join our small team of whale and dolphin watching Specialists in Tenerife. There are full time and part time positions available. Enjoy days of sunshine, observing and documenting encounters with whales, dolphins, Sea turtles and more with our small group whale and dolphin watching tours. We are willing to train the right people to be excellent Naturalist Guides.

Some details of the position of full time Naturalist Guide are; welcoming and briefing guests. leading tours (briefings about the species encountered, taking photographs, use of the hydrophone, collecting sightings data, etc), sending guests the tour photos and participating in the local whale and dolphin conservation and research efforts.

This is a 5 day work week, the day begins at 9:00am and finishes at approximately 4:30pm. Salary is based on credentials, experience, languages spoken and progress as a professional Naturalist Guide within the company over time.

  • Background in Marine Sciences
  • Legally able to work in Spain
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of the marine species encountered


  • Fluent in German and French
  • Resident of the Canary Islands
  • Certified Guide of the Canary Islands
  • Skilled in taking photos
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
